YODA Words of Wisdom and the APOGEE Paradigm™

Many of my students have stated in a myriad of ways, “You say what YODA says.” And so it is… there are principles that call to self mastery, there are attitudes that build mastery, there are perceptions that define mastery… the SELF is the ultimate teacher, listening, discerning, experimenting, experiencing, deciding,  delivering. And so a triune, an offering to the entry of  THE WAY. The WAY of the APOGEE WINNING WARRIOR.™

1. Don’t try. Do.

“Do or do not… there is no try.”

2. Overcome your fears.
“Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”
“Named must your fear be before banish it you can.”
Face your fear.

Be curious.

All is one.

3. Your world is a reflection of you.
“You will find only what you bring in.”

Indeed... There is always a way...

Indeed... "There is always a way..."

Ever the vision that the different learner, those deemed learning disabled, ADD, ADHD, Dyslexic, Gifted, or simply lazy, rebellious, disinterested, unmotivated, be understood for individuality, particular learning styles, potential, personal vision, interests, and special gifts of BEING... to live outside of judgments based on conclusions rather than exploration. Learners who readily identify with THE WALL ... These have been my students since the founding of APOGEE Learning Enhancement Training Systems™ in 1983.

My earlier students are now fathers, mothers, with children of their own. Among those who received the innovative services of APOGEE Learning ( www.apogeelearning.com) are entrepreneurs, business owners, medical doctors, nurses, psychologists, policemen, firemen, teachers, school administrators, artists, musicians, pilots, aeronautics engineer, light engineer, sound engineer, nutritionists, massage therapists, beauticians, acupuncturist, environmentalists, who hold to the value of diversity, and an attitude of "There is always a way..."

YES, a young dancer, one who was ever fascinated by the wondrous nature of life, one who found delight in coloring, writing, listening to ambient sounds and identifying where the sounds were coming from, one who loved to be read to, one who found such telling meaning of fairy tales, stories and rhyme, one who when hearing a full orchestra for the first time was told her destiny was to 'tune up the world.' YES, this the Founder'/Director of APOGEE Learning™... this the Founder of the Rockland County Association for the Learning Disabled, the Past President of the New York Association for the Learning Disabled, this the artist, this the Poet Laureate, this the Founder/Director of APOGEE Acu-Tone, a pioneer in creating a system of vibrational therapy, this the mother, the grandmother who, as too, her students, hold to the attitude, "There is always a way."

Presently, my youngest student is 7 years of age, I started working with him when he was 5 years of age, and YES, his is a knowing beyond what he sees and what he is taught. His view of what the world needs is so very much on point... his is a wisdom that is willing to be expressed, willing to be known, and shall prevail as others are inspired by his leadership... TRUTH is his master, PEACE, is his guide. And he knows, "There is always a way..."

12 Steps to Spelling Mastery

There are students who, because of grapho-motor difficulties,  do not readily profit from repetitive writing of a word to master its spelling. For some to repeat the letters over and over, is equally ineffective. Searching  for each Scrabble™ letter square engages a deliberate attention, holding the letter in mind as the "hunt" proceeds. Noting the arrangement of vowels and consonants in the order presented, further engages attention. Matching the sounding and silent letters to each blank side of the Scrabble™word square,  engages both the right brain and the left brain, proving to be highly effective. The movement and action that the child is engaged in,  is of particular benefit to kinesthetic learners and those who like to be on the move.

Here provided is the 12 Steps to Spelling Mastery.  Click for larger view.
